Rokolectiv aduce in atentia publicului artisti romani in afirmare precum si personaje internationale deja celebre de la festivaluri similare de afara cum ar fi Sonar din Barcelona, Club Transmediale din Berlin sau Villette Numerique din Paris.

io sincer as acorda mult mai multa atentie la Yvat si Brazda lui Novac. Sa vezi ce aparatura are Brazda ! (nu ca eu as fi vazut-o, dar am auzit din surse sigure ce are omul ala, si m-am crucit) E mare fan Autechre apropos
ps - ce mi-a placut mie MNAC-ul, cand l-am vizitat, la o saptamana dupa deschidere. Super super fain. Tot asa a ramas liftul ala imens si genial ?

bre, eo stiu ce aparatura are (sau cel putin am vazut) dar nu se compara nici pe departe cu Mlada Fronta. si i-am vazut pe amandoi unul dupa altul.

uite aici : (e mai lung, dar merita citit, ca tot veni vorba de echipamente, am extras asta din ceva interviu cu Autechre ce il aveam)
GEAR SHIFT
Sean: "The first stuff we had was a [Roland TR] 606, a [Casio] SK1 and SK5, then a Boss delay unit. Then we got our [Roland MC] 202, a Tascam 244 4-track and a Juno 106. It's grown so slowly that we're totally au fait with it all. But you can't forget, especially with the amount of software that we've got now, that it's very easy to get into a specific way of working and to forget what it's like to use an analogue synth, to have to deal with 40 controllers at once, for instance."
Rob: "Modern software is so possessive, it draws you in and you stay there with it, you become a bit of a convert to it. I can see that happening to a lot of people around us as well: 'look at this, try that'.
"A couple of months ago we bought the Kenton Pro4, and our old Korg MS20 which we had to delay on the 4-track because it was out of time with the trigger, was all sorted out. Now we can do anything again with our old gear; it's totally in sync with what we do on the computer. Wild really."
Sean: "It's decent being able to use the [MC]202 sequencer again."
Rob: "Yeah, it's not just slaved to the computer, with MIDI note velocities and all that, you can work within the 202."
Sean: "We could get the same results if we used the sampler but it's just having to use that interface. Some people might think it's a backward step, but it isn't."
Rob: "It forces you to be led into different territory."
So let's talk sequencers then.
Sean: "I like the 202 sequencer. It's like playing dominoes or something."
Rob: "It's more like working with Lego I think."
Sean: "As long as you know what you're doing it's like operating any machine, I think. For instance we can sequence patterns well fast on the [Roland TR] 606, and we can do stuff well fast on the [Roland] R8, and they're two totally different drum machines in terms of the way that you program them. They're polar opposites -- with the 606 it's all flashing in front of you, while you're working blind with the R8.
"If you're using Logic you're not blind to anything, everything is totally visible. Quite often we'll find ourselves turning the monitor off in the studio because that's the only way of telling how much there is sometimes, especially using Logic or Cubase. Meanwhile with the R8, it has a pretty decent sequencer, but no real visual interface."
Rob: "With the R8 it's almost like you have to know the sequence inside out, through having it in there and in your head, rather than being able to quickly refer to it every time you're not quite sure about something. With something like Logic you can be totally consumed by the screen. You know what all the dots mean, but after hours of staring, it can lose all significance -- you're not listening to the music."
Sean: "We've got a big enough computer to have three or four sequencers, but we use Logic over anything else because it's got the environment that we're most comfortable with."
Rob: "As it stands, Logic seems to have all the best aspects of all the available sequencers, and we grew up on Creator as well, so we just fit into that German thing quite easily."

daca vrei sa vezi ce aparatura are, poti sa citesti personal pe site: http://www.brazdaluinovac.go.ro - e si de asteptat, omu e inginer de sunet.
oricum, cred ca e o chestiune de gust. Brazda lui novac e IDM, Discordless si Mlada sunt altceva.
apropo: bilet pt toate 3 seri e 350 de mii, sau 150 mii pt o singura seara.

Brazda o sa bage niste chestiuni noi , spunea ceva de o surpriza , vedem ce si cum . cat despre scule are multe dar nu prea are timp , are chestii pe care nu le-a folosit niciodata in vreo piesa .
La noi o sa fie o combinatie de electro/industrial cu ambient. nu stiu o sa fie mai mult un test , la urmatoarele concerte o sa se mai complice treaba .

suna bine toata treaba asta, dar, daca e in aceeasi sala in care a fost si kid koala, mai bine lipsesc pentru ca se aude total aiurea si e extrem de enervant.

unforciunatelii, e in aceiasi sala. despre sunet am auzit din mai multe parti ca e infiorator.
totusi, eu zica ca pentru Mlada fronta merita sa dai 15 lei pe bilet intr-o seara. la cluj de exemplu, concertul a fost tinut intr-o sinagoga care statea sa se darame. si tot a sunat bine. sunt ferm convins ca la mnac o sa fie ceva mai bine decat la cluj, asa ca...
in plus, exista si partea de visual. care si aia merita cu varf si indesat. nu numai la Mlada...
mai leita edit: ia zi uatevare, ne vedem p'acilea la fest?

as vrea eu, dar n-am cum. din pacate, is prins in mijlocul examenelor, ca is aranjate mega nasol pentru toata sesiunea. asta e. de vazut sper sa ne vedem daca ai timp prin 10-15 martie, cand foarte probabil o sa trec prin bucuresti (vorbim mai mult pe ym cand se aproapie data)

in prima seara m-am cam plictisit, pot spune k singuru lucru care mi-a atras atentzia au fost imaginile proiectate de gojira & kosak care era cu nishte fete despre care m-am straduit sa-mi dau seama ce fac ele shi am aflat intr-un final fericit k faceau sex, respirand ushurata caci io am crezut k sunt muarte (probabil am ramas cu sechele dupa proiectzia din vara cu femeia aia killerita de rimaru )
cea mai mijto din tuate punctele de vedere mi s-a parut a doua seara, unde mi-a placut in mod deosebit mlada fronta shi cu brazda lu novac; mlada fronta sunt nishte profesionishti de nota 10 audio, video shi din orice alt punct de vedere al prezentarii doritzi, au avut un stand de tricouri shi albume fuarte mijto realizat, iar in concert, nici ei n-au fost ocolitzi de probleme tehnice, la partea in care un tip cu dreaduri se chinuia sa tzina ritmu cu nishte tobe din care nu s-a auzit nimik.
a urmat o balerina din cehia care mi s-a parut de asemeni interesanta k aparitzie scenica, avea o masca cu urechi de pisicutza (m-am gandit la tine, donshuara christina ), deshi ce canta nu mi-a atras cine shtie ce atentzia. cat despre jason forrest aka donna summer, mie nu mi-a placut absolut deloc. de la powerpointu cu poze cu actritze gasite probabil pe gugal, la cum gasea el de cuvintza sa se mishte pe scena k o maimutza scapata din cushca, la muzica slabutza in opinia mea shi totu culminand cu berea pe care a azvarlit-o pe spectatorii din primele randuri.
ultima seara ar fi fost probabil cel putzin la fel de interesanta, daca s-ar fi auzit ceva, dar cum spunea nocti nu a fost cazu. aoki takamasa & tujiko noriko din japonia erau bjorkish (am invatzat sa folosesc cuvintele noi ) shi-atat, iar discordless din pacate a beneficiat de microfonie din plin, din pacate, caci imi placea ce facea el acolo. la electronikat, pe care imi dorisem sa-l ascult, n-am mai stat decat pretz de o melodie, shi am pierdut xmas treeu'
concluzie, in linii mari placut, exceptand locatzia, shi nu duar din cauza sonorizarii proaste. cam asta e rezumatul a 3 foarte lungi mailuri cu detalii atashez nishte poze, gasite pe net shi nu foarte bine facute, cu rugamintea la neatza sa-mi trimita shi mie pozele pe care le-a facut in a doua seara daca au ieshit
pozele: 1 - brazda lu novac; 2, 3 - mateoidouska, 4 - mlada fronta, tipu cu tobele care nu s-a auzit; 5 - jason forrest aka donna summer

kid koala a fost tot in palatu ceausescu?scena a fost pusa tot asa?
deci:acustica salii oricum nu e buna;daca pui si scena pe latul salii e mai de cacat;se poate face sa se auda bine,dar trebuie dat incet.si oricum nu trebuie lucrat cu sfinx expirience,vezi sonorizarile de la concertele de la arene.
