Melodii de moment oldies

Deschid acest subiect pentru ca nu doresc sa mai postez in abrambureala vechiului melodii de moment de pe muzica, unde unii fac doar o simpla insiruire de melodii.Pe acest subiect nu se accepta doar titlul si artistul.....si sunt valabile doar melodii din categoria oldies.

Incepem cu Canned Heat si a lor melodie On the road again , aparuta undeva pe la inceputul anilor '70. Canned Heat au luat fiinta in anul 1966 in Los Angeles, California...la fel ca The Doors. (Doors cu 1 an mai devreme, dar in acelasi oras)
Pana in 1981 formatia l-a avut ca vocal pe Bob Hite, supranumit si The Bear datorita marimii sale colosale. (a se vedea atasamentul). Bob a si murit de inima in anul 1981. Probabil cantarea in jurul a 150 kg. Cu toate ca era un monstru vocea sa este subtire si calda.

O melodie mai putin cunoscuta apartinand unei formatii celebre: Hots on for nowhere - Led Zeppelin.Melodia a treia de pe fata B a discului Presence din anul 1976, este un rock simplu si electrizant.
Sarpele va recomanda sa ascultati aceasta melodie.Iata cateva versuri:

Pentru astazi o melodie din anul 1928. Harry Kirby McClintock - Big Rock Candy Mountain . O melodie ce am descoperit-o in filmul O Brother Where Art Thou ?
Din cate am citit Harry a fost un apreciat solist folk-country in America anilor '20.
Melodia de fatza se adreseaza in special puscariasilor. A se citi versurile.

hai sa pun melodiile aci, ca-i cam subtzire treadu (sa scriu versurile la toate 3 piesele, sa nu scriu versurile?): Jethro Tull - Song For Jeffrey, The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil shi Salt Of The Earth, toate 3 piese cuprinse in colosalul proiect The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus, o fantezie impresionanta, ceea ce s-a dorit la inceput a fi un BBC TV special nemaivazut, dupa care s-a vehiculat ideea de a fi distribuit prin cinematografe. deshi BBC-ul era asociat, la finalizare a refuzat sa-l difuzeze, shocat de costume shi de unele scene. asta se intampla prin '68, catziva ani mai tarziu deja nu se mai shtia ce s-a ales de pelicula. proiect indraznetz, mancat se pare de prejudecatzi, a fost supranumit o "capsula a timpului" ce a adunat la un loc nu numai o droaie de artishti: bineintzeles, taticii The Rolling Stones, cu Brian Jones in formula, Jethro Tull, The Who, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Yoko Ono, Marianne Faithfull, dar shi aspiratziile shi spiritul acelei epoci.

O melodie din 1975, inclusa pe albumul Desire. Bob Dylan - Romance In Durango .
Albumul aparut pe piatza in 1976 incepe cu piesa intitulata Hurricane, dedicata boxerului de culoare Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter, acuzat pe nedrept de crima in America anilor '70.

Am sa va povestesc aici despre o melodie foarte draga mie.

With a Little Help from My Friends este titlul unui cintec din 1967 scris de John Lennon si Paul McCartney si inregistrat pe albumul The Beatles " Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Melodia a fost cintata de bateristul Beatles - Ringo Starr.

Primul nume al melodiei a fost "Badfinger Boogie", care mai tirziu a inspirat numele formatiei "Badfinger".

Melodia a fost number one in the British singles charts de doua ori; o data cind a fost inregistrata de Joe Cocker in 1968 si a doua oara cind a fost realizata cover de Wet Wet Wet in 1988. Versiunea lui Cocker este considerata de multi a fi cea mai buna versiune cover a cintecelor Beatles.

Personal imi plac foarte mult toate cele trei versiuni, dar pentru ca prima data l-am auzit in versiunea Beatles, pot spune ca aceasta versiune mi-e cea mai apropiata de suflet.

Iron Butterfly - In-a-gadda-da-vida . O formatie obscura cu un hit celebru. One hit wonder.Iron Butterfly s-a infiintat in 1966 in orasul Los Angeles.Piesa a aparut pe albumul (al doilea) cu acelasi nume din 1968 si ocupa o fata intreaga de disc, durata ei fiind de 17 minute.Aceasta piesa avea sa devina una dintre cele mai notorii compozitii din istoria rock-ului fiind reluata de zeci si zeci de formatii.Albumul s-a vandut in peste 2 milioane de exemplare numai in Los Angeles, obtinand primul disc de platina din istoria rock-ului, iar pana in 1978 se vandusera 5 milioane de exemplare, ceea ce reprezenta cea mai mare vanzare a casei de discuri Atlantic pana la acea data!
Sarpele a fost in-a-gadda-da-vida (in-the-garden-of-eden) si sa jucat cu un mar, cu Adam si cu Eva.
