Poate ca nu e oldiest but goldiest ...insa luind in considerare ca cel de mai sus efectiv e sufletul formatiei Dire Straits...m-am gindit ca daca ne lasam putin cuprinsi de "emotie" ne reamintim cine sint si ce inseamna pentru muzica internationala Dire Straits
Nu am sa amintesc aici discografia grupului (poate am sa o fac mai tirziu ) ci doar faptul ca ultimul album intitulat "THE RAGPICKER'S DREAM " a fost lansat pe 30 septembrie 2002. Piesa single a acestul album pina la inceperea in primavara acestui an a turneului promotional este : " Why Aye Man ".

Un mic "cadou virtual" pentru toti cei care a fi "FAN Dire Straits" inseamna ceva!:)

M-am gandit de multe ori sa dedic un subiect formatiai Dire Straits dar de fiecare data nu stiu de ce nu am finalizat. Ma bucur ca altcineva a dus la bun sfarsit acest vis al meu.

Incep prin a va spune ca Dire Straits sunt printre preferatzii mei all-time. O formatzie londoneza ,clasica.
Ce imi place foarte mult la ei este usurintza cu care canta. Am un video-cd cu un concert d'al lor si atat Mark Knopfler cat si ceilaltzi canta cu o usurintza iesita din comun. Parca ar vorbi !
Piesa mea preferata este Sultans of Swing. Cum vi se par chitarile din aceasta melodie ?

Nu Mig, nu am ascultat albumul solo. Am ascultat si posed doar melodii clasice cu Dire Straits...de care nu ma plictisesc niciodata.
Si nu am stiut de chestia cu Sting.

Da, Mr.Hyde..traiasca rusii...ca eu am de la ei cd cu 12 viceoclipuri. Cel de la Romeo & Juliet este deosebit de artistic.

Un fapt amuzant : am ascultat pentru prima oara Sultans of swing..cand eram prin clasa a X a. deci cam prin 1995. Si am crezut ca aia e muzica swing. Atat de mare si fin cunoscator eram ! :p


Si mie imi place Brothers in arms. Dar melodia mea preferata ramane cea pe care am spus-o in postul precedent. O alta melodie superba , de pe albumul Brothers in Arms este "So far away" .
