Well in England, a lot of people spend also, there is not a lot of saving,w hich is bad. The dollar keeps getting lower as the pound rises and also the euro is getting very strong. I feel that America will be experiencing a lot of financial shortfall in the future, in say...3-4-5 years, unless Bush goes and a new president can concentarte more on domestic affairs rather than on "a foolish crusade".

Well, the fact is that american economy is going nowhere fast because of the dot com meltdown. Thousands of corporations invested in the internet and are based on Internet Technology and because of an over-saturated IT market, most of them are losing more money than they are making. The only ones NOT affected by this little problem are giant corporations like Microsoft, Intel, Apple, etc.

I however, unlike most americans, have no problem finding a job in the IT department since good designers and coders are hard to come by in this country. ;n

ged, I don't think you got my point, thus turning the conversation in a totally different way. There would have been no problem with me, until I saw my little friend here trying once again to put a lot of emphasis on how smart she is and how dumb we all are.
I don't like her talking like that, but I try to find her excuses. She's still a child and has no idea about how things are going in this country, where every year 400 very good designers and coders are getting out of only one university to go out in the wide and work for 100$. She'll grow up, as time passes...

Darkshiness you are right that the american economy is going down the tube.
Bush is a puppet put by somebody there just for show and they are using him as much as possible.
In my personal opinion he is the worst president of the US after Nixon.
What we need right now is a president like Clinton that makes firm issues on the economy, promotes growth and at the same time regulates national coffers so they are getting filled but not to the point that taxation gets a big issue.
What I don't agree with is that Romanian coders work for $100 a month.
Bhuttu why don't those folks go online, do projects for other people, move to another country, work for a bigger firm..etC?

I've been working in the IT departement for a while now, and I, as a simple freelancer, have earned a lot more than 200$. I know a lot more coders than you do, bhuttu, and believe me they earn a lot more than you think. Of course, they earn more on international projects than on romanian ones, but that's because most ro buisnesses don't understand the importance of a good website.

bone age to stone age is an american alaskan based joked and it started from people watching the very popular show"The Flinstones".
Slang might have been a bad term, there is a difference between what we say(as english speakers and the formal way usually).
Ex: Dump me some science dawg.

Besides all of these examples(which are just samples from english spoken in Fairbanks Alaska) there are a lot of other things that change the regular/formal English into spoken English(which is a little bit of a free for all depending on who you talk to).
Americans in Alaska when talking to friends or whoever develop shortcuts and ways to say things which are different from the formal way.
Romanian thats another story I am not using slang its just that I forgot a bunch of rules, thats all , you know it, I know it but you still try to be a dumass and get your point across.
