Zwan la inceput a fost un cvartet format din Corrigan, Matt Sweeny(de la Chavez), Jimmy Chamberlin si David Pajo. Apoi a devenit un cvintet cand li s-a alaturat si Paz Lenchantin de la A Perfect Circle.
In ianuarie 2003 au lansat albumul lor de debut "Mary Star of The Sea" de pe care am ascultat Endless Summer, Desire, Baby Let's Rock! si Lyric. Suna destul de bine, cam acelasi stil smashing pumpkins parca un pic mai dur.
cine a mai ascultat si cine stie mai multe despre ei?

Billy Corgan nu a parasit Smashing Pumkins ci a desfiintat Smashing Pumpkins prin 2000. Nu se stie exact de ce dar unul dintre motivele depresiei lui a fost acela ca "he was fucked in the ass by the mainstream music and big labels". Cam asa zicea (nu mot a mot) David Pajo (cunoscut in scena indie - Tortoise) intr-un interviu explicand de ce s-a alaturat formatiei (Zwan) .
Cu atatea nume mari la un loc Zwan nu are cum sa sune prost , insa asemeni celor de la Audioslave (spre exemplu) le lipseste sclipirea.

salut,
am ascultat tot albumul Zwan, l-am cumparat si pot spune ca a meritat.. mai ales pt melodia Jesus, I/ Mary Star Of the Sea, o melodie de peste 14 minute ce combina doua piese super printr-un interlude de chitara ala Pink Floyd..sunt piese bune, o atit mai pozitiva decat la SP, dar totushi mi-e dor de SP..

Former Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has confirmed that his latest band, Zwan, are no longer.
Speaking to US radio station WGN-Ch 9, Corgan said he had disbanded the group, suggesting that the experience had became mundane.
"My heart was in Smashing Pumpkins," he explained. "I really enjoyed my experience with Zwan, but at the end of the day, without that sense of deeper family loyalty, it just becomes like anything else."
He added: "Our attitude with the Pumpkins was, it was a do or die proposition, and that got us through all the hard times we went through, particularly with the Pumpkins where we had two members with serious drug problems."
Zwan, who formed in 2000, released one critically acclaimed album - 'Mary, Star Of The Sea' - in February 2003.
Corgan is now expected to focus on solo material. He is also due to showcase his first book of poetry in his hometown of Chicago this week (September 17).

Sincer, nu i-am ascultat, dar pare ceva interesant...
Smashing nu m-au incantat niciodata... in schimb A perfect Circle suna chiar bine. Sunt tare curios cam ce a iesit din combinatia asta pt ca nu mi se pare ca seamana stilurile de loc...
Deci, spune-mi te rog: cu cine se aseamana stilul mai mult, cu dovelcii sau cu cercu' ?

cu dovlecii. defapt daca asculti o melodie de-a lor si nu stii ca e zwan ai putea foarte usor sa zici ca e the pumpkins.
