Those who thought Eminem would tone down his shocking rhymes on the follow-up to his controversial The Marshall Mathers LP thought wrong.

At least according to his mentor, Dr. Dre, who has handed over most of the producing duties on The Eminem Show, due May 28, to Slim Shady himself.

"His album is crazy. I mean, what more can I say? It's Eminem to the fullest," Dre said Wednesday at his Burbank, California, recording studio. "Everybody that digs the first two albums is gonna love this one."

Rumors that the album would be more serious are not true, according to the Dr., who is still finishing his tracks with Eminem.

"Well, I do feel he has matured as a lyricist, but I don't know if [saying he's] moving in a different direction is accurate," Dre said. "His stuff is really crazy to me because just when you think, 'OK, he has run out of stuff to say, he can get no crazier than this,' something comes out of his face that gives you chills or something. Makes the hair crawl on your skin. So I think the shock value of Eminem is definitely gonna still be there, but it's just getting better."

Eminem will come out with a bang on his first single, "Without Me," which his Interscope Records spokesperson said was reminiscent of the lead singles from The Slim Shady LP ("My Name Is") and The Marshall Mathers LP ("The Real Slim Shady"). A video for "Without Me," which was produced by Eminem, will be shot next week.

"His production skills are getting really nice," Dre said. "I think there is one song that has Nate Dogg on it, but most of the album is just him. He's singing a lot. He's singing and doing a lot of his own choruses and harmonies. The whole nine yards."

R&B singer Truth Hurts, Dr. Dre's latest protégé, said she recorded vocals for The Eminem Show several months ago in Detroit.

"It came out hot," she said. "I think it is kind of a spinoff of Rockwell's 'Somebody's Watching Me,' 'cause I remember singing those melodies. We did that a while ago, before he started getting into the record full-force, so I don't know what songs he's going to use. Hopefully that's one of them."

Legendary rapper Rakim, who recently signed with Dre's Aftermath Records, said he'll likely make a list-minute contribution.

"He's got a joint that he said has got my name on it," Rakim said. "It is like a family thing over here. I respect Em a lot. When Em flows, you hear skills, you hear words that a lot of brothers forgot about sometimes. That's what it is all about."

Rakim has heard a few tracks from Eminem's album and said to expect even more clever rhymes and twisted humor.

"I am not going to say he cleaned nothing up, don't get me wrong, but he's definitely speaking at a different level," Rakim said. "It is more mature, but at the same time it is still Em. He's gonna [make you think], 'Man, he said that?' Put it this way: he stepped the skills up."

Inca nu am ascultat Without Me - sincer, abia astept si piesa asta, si noul album... am auzit doar ca in acest prim single Eminem se ia de data asta de NSync (de ce nu ma mai mir?), Limp Bizkit (pt a doua oara, dupa Girls de pe albumul D12), si, surpriza, Moby. De ce oare? N-am idee. Sincer nu-mi pasa, mie imi place si Limp Bizkit, si, cit de cit, Moby. Dar sint curios sa vad ce zice Eminem...

Story: Acum 3 ani am fost la un concert in aer liber predominant alternative/punk in care avut si eminem o juma' de ora de prestatie. De abia scosese Slim Shady. In timp ce canta mai receptiona o bucata de gazon, o sticla cu apa. Insa foarte cuminte nu injura, nu era tare in gura. N-a mai suportat ICE T care a taiat sunetu si a tinut o predica de 10 minute de genul "Ca vredeti smecheri? Va fac de la A la Z. Va credeti punkisti? " Pana la urma astia nu au incetat si Ice T l-a ginit pe unu din peste 10 000 care tocmai aruncase spre el cu o alta sticla. A coborat in public sa se ia la bataie cu omu dar din pacate a intervenit paza. Eram curios sa vad ce iese. End of story

MOBY has said he is "amused" and "honoured" to be namechecked in the new EMINEM single.

As NME.COM revealed earlier today (April 26), the controversial rapper's new single 'Without Me', released on May 20, disses the dance star for being old.

Now, writing on his official website, Moby said that although he has reservations about Eminem's music, as he considers it "glorifies homophobia and misogyny", he is "honoured" to have received his "first celebrity diss".

He wrote: "I'm so amused...apparently Eminem disses me on his new single. I haven't heard it yet, but I do think it's very funny that he's singled me out as an object of his scorn.

"The weird thing is that I actually do think that Eminem has skills as an MC, but it disturbs me that he glorifies homophobia and misogyny in his songs, especially seeing as his listeners are, for the most part, very impressionable 10 year old boys. I'm honoured to have received my first celebrity diss. well, first celebrity musical-diss."

Moby joked that he has no plans to "diss him back". He concluded: "I won't be dissing him back, but I will say, as I said before, that musicians need to assume a certain artistic responsibility when their fan base is very, very young.

"A 30 year old listening to an Eminem song that glorifies misogyny and homophobia is going to interpret the lyrics a lot differently than a 10 year old listening to the same song. From my perspective any music that glorifies abuse, misogyny, homophobia or racism is disturbing, but especially so when its targeted to fan base of 10 year old boys. But anyway, if your reading this Eminem, thanks for the diss. Really, I mean it. And no hard feelings from me."

D ce p**a mea ma crezi fraier sa ascult doar stan shi the way i am??? Am ascultat toate albumele scoase pe piatza de el shi k nu m-au impresionat asta e treaba mea, am dreptul sa nu imi plak! Despite his new album, ‘The Eminem Show’, being one of the most closely guarded pre-release projects in history, it is now widely available to buy and download illegally weeks ahead of release.

Despite strict security measures, all 20 tracks from ‘The Eminem Show’ are available on the Internet, almost a month ahead of the album’s June 3 release - meaning his label Interscope could lose millions.

The rapper said bluntly: "I think that shit is fucking bullshit. Whoever put my shit on the Internet, I want to meet that motherf***er and beat the shit out of him, because I picture this scrawny little dickhead going ‘I got Eminem's new CD! I got Eminem's new CD! I'm going to put it on the Internet.' I think that anybody who tries to make excuses for that shit is a fucking bitch."

Internet downloading of music has concerned labels and artists, but there is an even greater fear about bootlegging - selling copies of the downloaded music to fans who can’t wait for the real thing or can’t afford it. Copies of ‘The Eminem Show’‘ were being sold openly in New York last week for $5.
