am facut un mic program html+php+mysql (o pagina html care lanseaza un php. Se interogheaza o baza de date si se afiseaza continutul).
Pe calculatorul meu aplicatia ruleaza.
Am publicat pe site-ul de mai jos fisierele aplicatiei, dar nu merge.
In fisierul php, pentru conectarea la server si la baza de date trebuie trecute datele necesare.
La inregistrarea pe site-ul de mai jos am primit datele urmatoare.
Imi puteti spune (vazand datele trimise) ce trebuie trecut in fisierul php la
$DBUser = "";
$DBPass = "";
$DBHost = "";

1. FTP Packages

If you are new to \"ftp\"ing web pages we would recommend any
of the following packages:

FTP for Windows (Windows)
CuteFTP (Windows)
Fetch (Macintosh)

These packages can be found and downloaded for free at
http://www.shareware.com.

Some users have found that ftp packages built into some web
browsers and web page design software can be unreliable. If
in doubt please try one of the packages above.

2. Domain Names

For the web server and email forwardings to work your domain
name must be transferred to the Portland name servers. port5
and portland subdomain names do not need to transfer the
domain names.

UK Domain Names must have their IPSTAG released to PORTLAND.
You no longer need to contact Portland when the tag has been
released, Nominet automatically notify us.

To transfer a com, net, or org you will either need to
contact your outgoing ISP, or (if you are feeling brave)
look at the information at http://www.networksolutions.com

To update a domain name you will be asked for the Portland
name servers:

ns0.portland.co.uk 212.15.64.83
ns1.portland.co.uk 212.15.64.25

Once your domain name has been transferred to Portland it
will be our name servers that control its operation. If you
would like to make custom modifications to your zone file
(eg MX records) please visit http://www.domaincontroller.com

To log in type your domain name (eg domain.com and not
http://www.domain.com), and your webserver password. You can then
make the necessary changes whenever you want.

3. Email Address Information

Your account is automatically set up with the following:
<everything>@yourdomain.com --> your@email.address

Email forwardings will work for portland and port5 sub
domains.

If you need to make changes or add aliases please go to
http://www.portland.co.uk/email_forward/. Log in using
your web server Username and Password.

4. CGI

To use cgi, create a cgi-bin in your home directory. Upload
.cgi and .pl files into that folder. Remember that they must
be made executable before they will work.

Some cgi\'s need a full path name to work. Add /home/username
to the path name.

perl version 5 = /usr/local/bin/perl
sendmail = /usr/lib/sendmail

6. Support & Troubleshooting

If you have any questions please try our new support on the

However, below are a few of the more obvious problems that
are worth pointing out.

FTP accounts can take up 60 minutes to be set. You can
upload files before the domain has been transferred.

Web servers can take between 24-48 hours before they become
visible. Do not panic during this time.

Sometimes the ftp server will reject connections. This is to
maintain a high level of service during peak hours. Please
be patient and try again.

If you are behind a firewall using Passive FTP you will not
be able to connect to the ftp server. Please connect to the
Internet somewhere not behind a firewall.
