The Breeders au luat fiinta in mare parte (mai mult decat 50%) datorita basistei de la Pixies, Kim Deal.
Saturata sa stea oarecum in umbra lui Francis Black a pus mana si si-a facut formatie alaturi de alticneva(imi scapa numele) aflat intr-o situatie similara (tot asa,vioara a doua pe la alta trupa ).
Pacat de Pixies pentru ca dupa plecare ei nu au mai scos ceva semnificativ...

Kim Deal era (pana nu cu mult timp in urma) o drogata notorie marturisind ca se injecta de pe la varsta de 15 ani (tinand cont ca e nascuta in '61, faceti si voi socoteala). Zicea intr-un interviu ca acum se simte mai bine si ca ii multumeste lui Dumnezeu ca nu e in puscarie sau moarta.
Si sora ei e in formatie iar in 2002 au scos un album pe care nu l-am ascultat... inca.
