We got a guy who does not know Romanian but only English. Since I joined this forum I was dreaming of something like this.
Anyway you are very welcome here as long as you dont post eratically on every forum(not that you would know what theyre talking about anyway) and you don't do quotes at the previous subject, swear or but in just because in some conversation.

weather here is chilly and dull now. It was bright and frosty this morning, but clouded at lunchtime.

For a good lesson in English it is essential to learn some good quotes of English people in history - here's one from Winston Churchill:

As long as you say you are an Englishman , what are doing here ? There are enough english people that just have bad thoughts about romanian people .

Weet Weet - I am fror from being a snob or a slob, and I have no issues with Romanians or Romania. I as invited here by a Romanian.

What you will find of 'my story' is another matter - as all things of depth have many sides to them. I will tell you that I have not yet visited Romania, but would love to do so one day. I know very little of the country, except that you have some VERY good looking girls there, and the beer is cheap .

Yeah you are right about the girls being pretty and the best part about them is that some are not really like the modern girls from countries like germany, england, us meaning theyll not be likely to divorce you in the next few years if you treat them right.
I noticed your age too you are born in 1970 pretty good year.
Beer is cheap and again not that cheap usual beer is about 0.5GBP and the high end stuff can reach you up to 1GBP a bottle(I don't know the prices in England but Im guessing thats not very cheap just somewhat lower).

I have soooo little experiance wth girls form Romania, but one or two I have seen hve been great looking. beer in UK is varied too, from the pissweak US style Lagers and fizzy crap to realy good ales on tap. In pubs (lets take Guinness) can be £1-50 to £3-00 per pint. In supermarkets it can be as cheap as £10 for 24 bottles (33cl) for Becks.

Enough about beer anyway.

This US Brit thing is a myth. I knwo some real anglophilic yankees and visa versa. Also I know some from bith sodes who are unkeen on the others. I find either attitude very narrow and quite prejudicial. I mean - we have almost 60 million and the US has 300 million people. How can anyone suggest that they love all that many fo tehm or hate that many of them! That is just soooooooooo dumb.

The Romanian girl who invited me in here is very pleased that she did as I am the only true Brit to be here. I also am very pleased that she did. I may discover more about the Romanian character and humour (hopefully) and even find I learn something here.

Not all US folks hate UK folks.
40 or maybe 50 years ago that myth was still standing.
Nowadays us guys try their best to understand your english even if you are not talking properly.
The only time when a uk person might have problems in us is with formal documents and thats all.
An example of that would be that I learned formal british english and when I came to the US everybody went mad about me talking with flats(instead of apartments) colour instead of color and others.

Well, its just that all the americans I met make stupid jokes about englishmen and other stuff related to english people. In my opinion it`s plain stupid, but I guess it makes them feel more superior, yeah most americans are narrow minded,ohhh god I`m starting again:D Well yeah most romanian girls are good looking, you could say the same about the guys, I hope you will enjoy your stay here.

Life is too short to get stuck in a rut. and football is in a rut for me. a commercial rut with players earning enough in one week to keep 10 whole families for at least a year who work in the factory sweatshops sewing footballs and boots, kit, souvenirs, etc.. etc.. for the club to sell to fans.

as a game it is fine. as a way of life it is messed up on commerce. The PLC demon has it's steely grip and is not letting go in a hurry.

the greatest thing about England is the sense of humour here (we have to have a sense of humour just to live here - it helps with such things as the weather and the useless transport system we have).

What I'd like to know is what does everyone here think is the single greatest assett of Romania is? What would be a really good reason to visit and/or live there? (no football or beer comments please - we have that well covered)
